The Brown Cow Cafe

The Brown Cow Cafe is a salon founded by Joel Mason for the enjoyment of its members and the general improvement of society (well, that’s the plan any way).

Salon (gathering), a meeting for learning or enjoyment

Céilidh The term is derived from the Old Irish céle (singular) meaning "companion".
Originally, a ceilidh was a social gathering of any sort, and did not necessarily involve dancing.

NB:  Despite its altruistic intentions, the Brown Cow Cafe is, currently at least, sort of a benevolent dictatorship...  Embrace the paradox.
